Another Victorian building hits the Grantham dust

Demolition of buildings of a former builders merchants, including the flooring, of buildings adjacent to the railway bridge on Harlaxton Road, is now under way.

Residents in the area have received letters from East Midlands Building Consultancy, recently, with notices under the 1984 Building Act.

Builders merchants Travis Perkins, closed its Grantham branch in 2020.

The site was originally Agnis & Yates making steam ploughs in the 1880s. It later became Midland Builders Merchants owned by local entrepreneur Jack Harris.
