The new Aldi store on Trent Road in Grantham was opened this morning by Sam Oldham, a member of the Team GB gymnastics team that won bronze at the London Olympics in 2012.
It replaces the existing store on South Parade, run by a team of 35 colleagues from the local community, and headed by store manager Simon Cook.
It’s the second time in recent times that a Lincolnshire Aldi store has been opened by a Team GB hero, with bronze medal winning hockey player
Sarah Jones, Olympic bronze medal winner at Tokyo 2020, was in Stamford to open the new Aldi store.
The Aldi store on Trent Road will have regular opening hours running from 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday

BIG SIGN DELIVERY ONLY NEVER LOOKED I.I was trying to get out of Denton road and these idiots was driving down turning round as soon as they realise the carpark round the other side. They didn’t even indicate to turn at the Trent road junction ,I wonder when the accident are going to start through pure blindness.
