Branston Magpie says
The photograph appears to be taken from the drive of no. 69 N.Beacon road, and if I remember John Thompson was always a bit of a camera buff, brick wall was in front of Tinklers and ash tree in garden of Ross’s: white gate posts were my abode and next door were Biffin’ s, although for many years it had been home for RSPCA officer. On opposite side of road at bottom of Brittain Drive were King’ s and Taylor’s, ‘Pim’ Taylor will be remembered by many and passed away far too soon.
Only 30 odd years ago and you knew all your neighbours not sure I know quite so many folk who live around me these days!
