A GRANTHAM couple have been working as assistant choreographers at the legendary Royal Opera House, Covent Gardens.
Rae Piper, along with her husband Paul Chantry, have recently been working on the production of ‘Un Ballo In Maschera’ as assistant choreographers for the production, which entails working with and rehearsing a 60 strong chorus, as well as principal cast and cover cast.
They are also both dancing in the production, as two of four dancers.
The couple are artistic directors of the Grantham-based Chantry Dance Company.
Rae is also a freelance choreographer working mainly in opera, musicals, contemporary dance and theatre, as well as still being an active performer.
Paul, who grew up on Cambridge Street, went to Little Gonerby School, The National School, then St Hugh’s before becoming a drama student at Brooksby Melton College.
