TODAY, December 1st 2014, Isaac Newton Primary School in Grantham, converted to an Academy.
Paul Hill took over as Headteacher at Isaac Newton in January this year.
He said: “This is an exciting time for us.
“The freedoms presented by academisation, will allow us to think outside the box and improve the school further.
“We do not intend to change Isaac Newton but will continue the drive to build on the standards achieved within the last academic year.
“ For students, it is unlikely that they will see much, if any, change in their day to day school lives apart from more opportunities becoming available.”
Isaac Newton Primary School will also receive additional support and become part of the newly formed Multi Academy Trust, C.I.T. – Community Inclusive Trust Academies.
C.I.T. already manage GANF’s two schools, Ambergate Sports College and Sandon School (both rated “Outstanding”), and will now sponsor Isaac Newton School.
Mr Hill welcomes the assistance, “I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with GANF and become part of the Community Inclusive Trust.
“This relationship will support the hard work my staff are doing to rapidly improve the standards of education for all pupils at Isaac Newton”.
Peter Bell, CIT Chief Executive, added, “My team and I are delighted to be working with Paul and his staff. We will be offering them guidance, challenges and opportunities for resourcing, as well as our expertise, to support them on their journey to provide the highest level of education available.”
