A new booklet aimed at 7-11 year olds has been produced to compliment a scheme to encourage community spirit.
Grantham and District Neighbourhood Watch Association’s Junior Eyes has been running in primary schools throughout Grantham and the surrounding villages for the past year.
The project promotes respect, responsibility and caring for others to school children.
The chairman of Grantham and District Neighbourhood Watch Association, Helen Bill said: “We need to ensure that they have these values at an early age so that they keep them as they grow.
“Neighbourhood Watch is in place in several senior schools across the district, but we haven’t done very much at all for primary school age children.”
The booklet which has been funded by the Police Commissioner, Alan Hardwick, will be launched at an event in the Newton room of Grantham’s Guildhall Arts Centre on Wednesday, November 12.
