Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Avenue Road, Grantham at 5.20pm on Wednesday 29th October.
It was thought some of the occupants had been involved in thefts from shops on High Street.shortly before.
A number of officers were deployed to pursue the vehicle, a Volvo V40, which was eventually stopped in a recycling centre on the High Dyke, Barkston Heath.
Three people were arrested at the scene, and two have been charged.
Keela Sneap, 43, of Flewitt Gardens, Nottingham, has been charged with two counts of theft from a shop and has been bailed to appear at Grantham Magistrates’ Court on 17th of November.
Graham Butterworth, 37, of Hunt Close in Nottingham, has been charged with three counts: theft from a shop; driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs; and failure to stop. He has also been bailed and will also appear at Grantham Magistrates Court on 17th of November.
The third person, a 39-year-old Nottingham man who was arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop, has been released without charge.
