HARLAXTON Road is set to improve this morning now the four –way temporary lights at the Trent Road junction have been removed.
It is unclear what their purpose was.
But eastbound HGVs will continue to swell the road as Springfield Road bridge continues to be open for westbound traffic only. Network rail engineers are carrying out essential work and have closed the eastbound route under the bridge.
The stretch of St Peter’s Hill, in front of the Guildhall, is due to close today and tomorrow for repairs.
Repairs to the potholes at the entrance to South Parade retail park (Jacksons, Dunelm & Aldi) begin on Friday.
There will also be three-way temporary lights on Avenue Road to Welham Street south on Friday.
Roadworks on Harlaxton Road and Old Wharf Road on Saturday may cause delay, while from Wednesday next, there will be two weeks of roadworks on Wharf Road.
