A new South Kesteven District Council Customer Service Centre in Grantham is due to open its doors on Monday 14th October and will enable residents to continue accessing in-person support from the Council.
The refurbished space, situated below the Council Offices at The Picture House on St Catherine’s Road, will replace the previous centre temporarily located in the Guildhall Arts Centre, Grantham.
It will be officially opened by the Council’s Chairman Cllr Paul Fellows in a ceremony to be held in the afternoon of 14th October.
Customers will be able to book an appointment to speak with Customer Service Advisors and meet with officers from various services from across the Council.
Cllr Rhea Rayside, Cabinet Member for People and Communities, said: “The improved Customer Service Centre represents the Council’s commitment to serving the needs of our residents.
“By offering face-to-face personalised assistance, as well as through our other channels, we can enhance the overall customer experience and foster greater community engagement.
“The improved facilities will also support the requirements of staff as they continue to deliver services for residents across the District.”
The Customer Service Centre will be open Monday to Friday 9am until 3pm. The centre is open for customers to be seen by appointment. To book an appointment, customers can ring, email or visit.
A number of self-serve stations will also be available for customers without digital access at home to complete online tasks transactions and access online portals such as Council Tax, Choice Based Lettings, Licensing and Planning.
“We recognise the important of digital literacy and want to ensure that those who are new to digital services or don’t have access to technology at home are able to engage Council services with confidence.” Cllr Rayside said.
The Customer Service Team at the Council support households across the District by responding to queries by email, in person and over the phone.
For most enquiries, the Council’s Customer Service Advisors are the first point of contact, aiming to resolve queries as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
Supporting with a range of enquiries from missed bin collections, updating Council Tax information or reporting noise complaints, they support hundreds of residents every single day.
