Top comedian to visit Grantham

Funhouse Comedy Club launches the new season at the Guildhall Arts Centre

Topping the bill is 2021 British Comedian of the Year Finalist, the incredible Scott Bennett who has appeared on ‘Live at the Apollo’, had his own Radio 4 show and is widely tipped in the industry as on the brink of the big time. He was also runner up in 2014 English Comedian Of The Year competition, Best Show Nominee Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 and support Michael McIntyre, Rob Brydon and Micky Flanagan in arenas This loveable rising star enthrals the crowd with his warm and engaging delivery, he is a Yorkshire live wire with an undeniable no nonsense logic, who was busy entertaining people through the lockdown, with his
‘Stand Up From The Shed’ online show.

Opening the night will be the charismatic and highly talented Sony Award winner, Tom Wrigglesworth, comedian, Radio and TV presenter and voice-over artist who has had two series’ on BBC Radio 4. An articulate and natural raconteur, he possesses an innate ability to riff with an audience like they’re old friends. His warm and hilarious tales, told with true passion never fail to captivate everyone.

Completing the line-up is the sometimes self disparaging musical comedian, Friz Frizzle with his individual anecdotes and speedily delivered song parodies.

Compere for the night will be the lively and likeable Spiky Mike.
