Candidates for the two by-elections for South Kesteven District Council on Thursday 10th November have been announced.
In Grantham St Wulfram’s Ward, Tim Harrison (Independent) is standing alongside Archie Hine (Labour Party), Ian Simmons (Green Party) and Mary Whittington (Conservative Party).
Bourne East Ward, which takes in the hamlets of Dyke and Twenty, offers a choice of five candidates. Rhys Baker (Green Party), John Ireland (Liberal Democrats), Brenda Johnson (Independent), Alex Molyneux (Labour Party) and Julia Reid (Conservative Party) are all standing for election.
Voters are reminded they need to be registered to take part. They can register to vote online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote with a deadline for these elections of 11.59pm on Tuesday 25th October.
Those unable to vote at their local polling station can vote by post: https://bit.ly/SKDCvoting
However, people wishing to use a postal vote are being urged to apply for it and return it as soon as possible, due to the planned postal strikes. The deadline to apply is 5pm on Wednesday 26th October.
