The Grantham Singers will start a new season of rehearsals on Monday 5 September.
This society, which was founded 70 years ago by the late Geoff Winter specialises in choral singing in four part harmony and includes a repertoire of everything from Gilbert and Sullivan to more modern popular
music.
Following a very successful show A Night at the Musicals at the Guildhall Arts Centre in early March
2020, the society were looking forward to building on that. However, the pandemic had other ideas
and they have continued with some Zoom singing sessions and met occasionally in person, including
some coffee mornings.
Now is the time to get back and there is a planned programme of music to suit all tastes, from Gilbert
and Sullivan and other popular musicals.
The society rehearse on Monday evenings from 7.30 – 9.00pm, in the Shepherd Room, Christchurch,
Finkin Street.
