New councillors elected to South Kesteven District Council

Ben Green (Conservative) won the seat for Isaac Newton Ward, while Richard Dixon-Warren (Conservative) will represent Aveland Ward following yesterday’s by-elections. Both are Conservative ‘Holds’.

Their first public meeting will be the important budget-setting by the full Council on Thursday March 3.

Charlotte Vernon (Conservative) was elected to Lincolnshire County Council for Colsterworth Rural.

Aveland Ward of South Kesteven District Council

Elected: Richard Dixon-Warren, Conservative, 373 votes.

Others – Barry Hare (Labour) – 142. Spoiled ballot papers – 7.

Isaac Newton Ward of South Kesteven District Council

Elected: Ben Green, Conservative, 412 votes.

Others – Stuart Fawcett (Labour) – 147 votes; Andrew Skelton – 165; Mike Turner (Green) – 72. Spoiled ballot papers – 5.

Colsterworth Rural division of Lincolnshire County Council

Elected: Charlotte Vernon, Conservative, 986 votes.

Others – Harrish Bisnauthsing (Lib Dem) – 277 votes; Stuart Fawcett (Lab) – 269; Mike Turner (Green) – 121. Spoiled papers – 15.

SKDC Isaac Newton ward turnout: 21.53%

SKDC Aveland ward turnout: 25.85%

LCC Colsterworth Rural division: 22.84%
