Brace yourselves for more windy weather today.
Hot on the heels of Friday’s Storm Eunice, Storm Franklin has blown in to batter the UK before it has even recovered.
A yellow wind warning from the Met Office covers Lincolnshire until 1pm today (Monday, Feb 21).
The alert means travel disruption is likely due to very strong winds, as well some damage to buildings. Power cuts are also possible.
Coastal areas are the most dangerous, with large waves posing a possible danger to life, the forecaster added.
Meanwhile, Lincolnshire Police is already warning of blockages on the roads due to wind and rain.
The force’s control room tweeted at 5.30pm yesterday (Sunday): “A17 Sleaford – one lane closed between Holdingham and Bone mill junction due to flooding – Inc 328
“A15 Folkingham – Tree is blocking half the road – Inc 316”
And there is more on the way later this week when Storm Gladys is expected.
