The final pints may have been pulled at a Grantham pub, after plans were lodged with SKDC to convert it into flats
The application has been made to change its use from a pub with a landlord’s apartment above, to six self-contained apartments.
The Springfield Arms stands on the corner of Huntingtower Road and has been closed since last year. The former Huntingtower Arms at the Harlaxton Road end, was converted into a convenience store.
Built in 1921 as the Springfield Inn, owners Mowbray’s Brewery later changed the name to the Springfield Arms.
To get permission to open the pub, licences had to be transferred by the closure of the Brewers Arms, Three Horseshoes, Globe and the Artichokes.
