Following the guidance from the Government and the Church of England, it has been reviewed what that means for St Wulfram’s.
A spokesperson said: “As we move forwards, we strongly encourage everyone to continue to wear coverings especially moving about the church and in close proximity with other people.
- Social Distancing – we will continue to encourage social distancing by placing chairs and groups of chairs a minimum distance of 1.5m away from each other.
- The Peace – we will carry on our present practise of not physically exchanging the sign of the peace with multiple people.
- Distribution of Communion – members of the congregation will be asked to come up to the Quire Screen step to receive the sacrament.
- Common Cup/Callice – we will continue to only have the bread of the Eucharist and not the Common Cup at this stage.
- Refreshments – from this Sunday, 1 August after the Parish Eucharist will begin again following the service.
- Hymn books and orders of service – we will begin to use the booklets and hymns books again once we have worked out a way to continue to produce resources for those online.
