Green Party candidates standing in the Lincolnshire County Council election on May 6th have received support from Green Party co-leader Jonathan Bartley.
Jonathan said: “Conservative councillors who’ve run Lincolnshire have let down the people who elected them. There’s an urgent need for Green voices on Lincolnshire County Council.
“Having a Green in the room provides a voice for the environment, the climate and social justice, and it’s vital that we get Green candidates elected in the Grantham area on May 6th.”
“People realise the world has changed. We do not want to go back to the way things were. The pandemic has put a spotlight on the rampant inequality in our society and the destructive relationship we have had with our environment.
“The Greens are the only party looking forwards to how we create a better future by pledging to build a Green Recovery for every community across the country.”
Having doubled its number of councillors at the last local elections, the Green Party is expecting to make significant gains across the country on May 6th, as it stands around 3,000 candidates, a record number, across England and Wales.
