Grantham people should brace themselves for gales exceeding 50 mph, with heavy rain and even the chance of lightning over the next couple of days.
The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings of strong winds and thundery showers between 9pm on Wednesday, March 10 and 3pm on Thursday, March 11.
Wind speeds are expected to hit 40 mph by 3pm tomorrow and become even fiercer overnight, reaching 50 mph by about 5am on Thursday and 51 mph by 6am.
Strong winds of between 51 mph and 40 mph are set to remain throughout the day before reducing to about 20 mph by around 6pm and into the evening.
The warnings state: “Strong winds accompanied by heavy and blustery showers may bring some disruption to England and Wales.
“Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer.”
Temperatures are forecast to reach 11C, with lows of 3C.
There could also be thundery showers on Friday, followed by more rain on Saturday before things improve on Sunday.
