Police were called to the Black Bull in Station Street, Donington at 11.47pm last night after a man had been found outside of the pub with a serious head injury.
Officers and the ambulance service responded and the victim, a man in his 40’s, was taken to hospital where he remains. His condition is believed to be potentially life threatening.
A man in his 40’s was arrested at the scene and remains in custody. It is believed this man was involved in an altercation outside of the pub with the injured man.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. It is believed several cars may have passed by and witnessed what happened.
