Belton House National Trust host one of the approximately 500 parkruns in the UK each Saturday at 09:00.
There are another approximately 1,500 parkruns worldwide. parkrun is a free 5k timed walk/jog/run and is free to register and free to partake.
Parkrun HQ allows two non-Saturday events each year, Christmas Day (Belton House is closed) and New Year’s Day.
The National Trust have agreed to the holding of a NYD parkrun starting at 09:00, although early for NYD, it is also the only day parkrun HQ allows two running credits on one day, so Newark and Rutland Water parkruns are starting at 10:30 enabling the double.

Children under the age of 11, must stay within an arm’s length of a responsible adult.
Dogs are allowed, provided they are on a short-ish lead and are used to crowds, one dog per runner. Please make sure your dog is fit and healthy enough to partake before bringing down and bring a bowl and water for them to drink after a lap and afterwards.”
After the parkrun, why not go to the Stables Café for a brew and chat with friends.
