Two in for The Gingerbreads

Paul and Russ signed two players to join The Gingerbreads following last night’s training session.

First in is Striker Kieran Wells, who joins us from Hednesford Town.  Kieran started his career at Ollerton Town.  Following that, he has had spells with Belper Town, Basford United, Handsworth Parramore (where he scored 63 in 79 games) and Stamford.

Kieran said “I’m really looking forward to getting going.  It’s a new chapter for me, and I’m playing in a squad with a vast amount of experience.  The lads are wanting to make up for what happened last week, and I’m ready to play my part”

Also joining the Gingerbreads is Brad MacGowan.  The central defender joins from Frickley Athletic after being released from Boston United in the summer.  Obviously, Brad is no stranger to The Meres after he joined us during pre-season of 2015/16 and playing a prominent role before signing for Conference North Alfreton Town in December 2015.

Both players go into the squad for tomorrow’s game at Nantwich.
