Candidates vying for your votes in the Grantham area at the forthcoming General Election have been officially declared as the deadline for nominations closed yesterday (November 14).
MPs will be elected to serve seven constituencies in the county when the nation goes to the polls on December 12 – the last December election was on December 6, 1923.
It’s already proving a hard-fought contest with Conservative Boris Johnson and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn setting out how best they think they could run the country.
Six of the seven Lincolnshire onstituencies have been true blue Tory for decades. But many eye will be on Lincoln – an island of Labour red in blue Conservative sea.
