South Kesteven District Council is encouraging anyone not yet registered to vote to go online and register if they want to have their say in the General Election in December.
Thursday 12 December is polling day for the Parliamentary election. Local people have until midnight on Tuesday 26 November to register.
You need to be on the electoral register to vote in elections and referendums. The good news is it’s quick and easy to do by visiting www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
Paul Thomas, electoral registration officer, said: “If you have not yet registered or you have moved to a new house and not completed a new application you should register as soon as possible to be able to vote in the December parliamentary election.”
The deadline for applications to be submitted for postal votes is 5pm on Tuesday 26 November.
If you want to check if you are registered or need further information, please email elections@southkesteven.gov.uk or call SKDC’s elections team on 01476 40 60 80.
