People living and working near Grantham fire station can find out more about plans for building works on the site.
A planning application will shortly be submitted that includes a bungalow for wholetime firefighters, further parking spaces, a new fire training building and improved station facilities.
There will also be a number of improvements made inside the existing fire station, including refurbishment of the first floor and re-decoration throughout the main building.
A drop-in information session is being held on Wednesday 14 August between 3.30pm and 7.30pm, with plans of the proposed building work, and fire staff on hand to answer any questions.
Cllr Nick Worth, executive councillor for emergency services at the county council, said: “We’re investing in our fire stations so they are fit for purpose and make sure we can give a great service to our communities. Subject to planning, work is currently scheduled to start early in 2020 and be completed in summer 2020.”
The planning application can be viewed on Lincolnshire County Council’s website shortly.
