I have just spotted the plane on the left? below its “tail-plane” is the “Whalbones” in said Lane! & just a glimpse of the house that stood there!…………….When I lived in Ponton for a while I was shown & its been mentioned on here before! them Bones still entangled in the properties hedge’ & being “organic material very hard to spot? I dont know if afore mentioned message was checked out! Good halfway down the lane heading South’ old remnants of a garden & old building on the left-hand-side! & quite away from Spitlegate “The Airfield” but the old airfield would or the area be well spotted from the air! I am going back to mid 70s when I last saw the Whalbones.

He more than likely will tell the dear reader that he was actually running away from me, but that’s just a story he puts about to get a bit “o” sympathy.
Have you ever noticed the big concrete arrow on the Spitalgate airfield to inform the pilots in which direction the landing strip used to be. If you haven’t seen it better get up there Greeves as they are going to put lots of expensive, not for the first time buyer houses on it. Don’t say I didn’t tell you!!

Hey dead Macho next day @ work in yer “coveralls” & hanging on ter yer Bedford TK! haha! ………………Tried to do a H/brake turn once on the dusty yard & empty flatbed!
