Before training last night Michael Tweed agreed to stay with The
Gingerbreads.
Michael Tweed joined from Nuneaton Borough at the start of the Rawden and
Cousins reign last season, and went on to make 13 appearances for the Club,
becoming a fan favourite with his energetic displays. The midfielder
started his career on the books of Queens Park Rangers before joining Nuneaton.
Paul Rawden said “We know what we’re getting with Tweedy, he’s a grafter in the middle of the park. He’ll get up and down all day long, providing us with energy and intensity . We’re really pleased to have him back.”
After training Michael said “Knowing Paul and Russ as I do, it wasn’t a difficult decision to stay with them and the Club for this season. We’ve seen which other players have signed up and it’s shaping up to be a really good squad. Training tonight was a good session, everyone has a great attitude and we’re looking forward to the start of the season.”
