Certificates awarded and disco held for both students and clients
More than 100 party-goers gathered for a fun-filled celebration for Grantham College’s Learning Development students and Day Break clients.
The event, which was held for the sixth consecutive year, allowed for families and friends to combine with students, staff and clients to mark the end of the academic year.
A disco was provided by former Learning Development learner Kieran Brennan, while Chair of Governors Amanda Mosek handed out certificates of recognition to students and clients.
The celebration also allowed for funds to be raised for the Day Break centre’s effort to purchase a sensory carpet for its clients.
Louise Robinson applied make-up and glitter throughout the evening, raising £40 in the process.
Lisa Smith, Head of Curriculum for Learning Development, said: “The evening was a culmination of a year of hard work by the Day Break team, led by manager Sarah Done and assistant manager Tracy Parkes.
“I would like to say a grateful thanks to everyone that worked so hard behind the scenes and on the night. The feedback from attendees has been incredible.”
Lisa also wished to express her gratitude to college governor Mos Kalbassi for his support on the night, as well as photographer Trevor Toseland.
