Yorkshire Bank held their 10th annual quiz night on Friday 29th March, this year they chose ‘ Don’t lose Hope’ and ‘The Lincolnshire Cheer Academy’ as the two local causes to share the proceeds.
The night was once again a huge success raising £623.
Manager of the Yorkshire Bank, Hannah Martin, said: ‘we are really humbled by the amount raised, thank you to all of those businesses who donated to the raffle that we also held on the night and to all those who attended, also huge thanks go to Dominic Brister who once again compered the quiz with his entertaining banter!
‘I am extremely passionate about mental health and it’s been a privilege to have raised money towards this fantastic new charity, and also for the Lincolnshire Cheer Academy as sports and exercise play such a huge part in helping metal health as well.’
Don’t Lose Hope is a new charity that will offer a professional counselling service for all members of the community from age 4 upwards. This will be a free service for families/individuals receiving certain state benefits and affordable to all others. This service will be delivered by a team of qualified and experienced counsellors, in private fully equipped counselling rooms.
Don’t Lose Hope will also provide a community cafe which will offer access to support groups, workshops, and advice.
Lincolnshire Cheer Academy for Grantham and surrounding towns in Lincolnshire. Training for all ages. male and female age 3 years to adult.
Over the past 10 years Yorkshire Bank Manager Hannah Martin and her team have raised money for various causes with their annual quiz night including St Barnabas Hospice, Barrowby Brownies, Harrowby Cubs & Scouts, Stamford Welland Academy Community project Fund, Dayton’s dreams plus many others.
