Animal Management student secures top marks, university place & volunteering placement in Africa
Laina Langridge attained top grades at Grantham College and secured her dream place at university. However, before beginning her studies she has big plans – including assisting in conservation at the Private Game Reserve in Zimbabwe.
Having achieved three starred distinctions in the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management, Laina was accepted into every course she applied for, eventually opting for Conservation Biology at the University of Exeter.
Laina plans to start her course in September next year, but not before embarking on a tour of the world. She will be taking in exotic locations in Oceania, Asia and Africa, where she will undertake her volunteering.
Despite her ambitions, Laina was sure to acknowledge the tutors who helped her along the way. She said: “I am very thankful to the staff who taught me at college and helped me receive the mark I did.
“I am very excited to start university after I have been travelling.”
