Coral Phoebe Shaw (1933-2019)
Born in Chingford, Essex, she met her husband-to-be Geoff at Lincoln and the couple married in 1954.
She had worked at the London Stock Exchange, as well as motor dealership Pratt & Gelsthorpe at Newark.
Their first pub as at Bassingham, followed by Peterborough.
They bought Stretton Rectory and converted it into Stretton Hall Country Club.
Then they moved to Brighton and bought a guest house before moving to the True Blue at Littlehampton.
Returning to Lincolnshire, they became mine hosts at the Five Bells, Brook Street, then the Springfield Arms.
On retirement, she volunteered for the Red Cross at Grantham Hospital tea bar as well as volunteering at the League of Friends at the hospital shop.
She was a member of Grantham Probus and the Grantham Girls Central Old Girls Association.
