Harold Stanley (Harry) King, of Grantham, has died aged 96.
Mr King died peacefully at St Barnabas hospice on Tuesday 12th March.
He served in the Second World War in the RAF as a rear gunner on Wellington bombers, one of the most dangerous jobs possible.
He has been promised full send off and will have standard bearers from the Royal British Legion as well as the RAF Association.
His coffin will be dressed in the Union Flag.
The funeral service to take place at Grantham crematorium on Monday 25th March at 1:30pm, Family flowers only please, donations if desired are for the work of St Barnabas hospice and may be given on the day or forwarded to Price & Son Funeral directors.
In memory of his dress sense the family request that all attending must wear bright clashing clothes.
Funeral director Jason Price will be leading the service on the day and an exceptional turnout is expected from former service personnel and retired members to honour thisPraise for affordable homes scheme gentleman.
