Two networking, leaflet swap and information workshops are being held in the district to help tourism-related businesses to boost their visitor numbers.
The workshops are being organised by Discover South Kesteven, the visitor economy arm of InvestSK, South Kesteven District Council’s growth and regeneration company.
The first is in Grantham on 18 March at the Urban Hotel and the second is at the William Cecil Hotel in Stamford on 20 March. Both events start at 1.30pm until 4pm and will include a valuable session on how to use social media to its full advantage.
Cllr Nick Robins, SKDC Cabinet Member for Retail and Visitor Economy, encouraged businesses to come along for an update on activity and plans from the Discover South Kesteven team.
“It’s the first time that we have hosted these events, and it’s a golden opportunity for any business interested in increasing footfall to come along, get involved, and benefit from what we are doing”, he said.
“We have a growing list of businesses on our database and our membership is increasing steadily. We are here to help, and value the chance to meet, chat through how we might be able to do that and explain to businesses what they will gain from joining in with our efforts to grow the visitor economy.
“We are expecting a real cross section of businesses at each of the events, and our advice is to bring a bag for all the leaflets!”
