Sue McQuinn says…
“Experts say delays could be the difference between life and death” and yet Grantham residents & those in the surrounding areas are now expected to make a journey of around an hour when they have a life threatening condition!
“Downgrading our A&E to an Urgent Treatment Centre makes no sense and will cost lives. The growth of the town means ULHT should be investing more in Grantham Hospital emergency services, not cutting them back.”
There will be an “engagement” meeting on the new plans on Wednesday 20th March 2019 at Jubilee Centre, 5 London Rd, Grantham NG31 6EY between 14.00 – 19.00 run by LHNT. It’s a drop-in meeting, hopefully a lot of people will take the time to “drop-in” to show their feelings.

Has any account been taken of the house building plans for Grantham?
Barrowby Rd just past the Poplar Farm. 3700 new homes.
Summerby Hill under the new flyover, 1700 new homes.
Manthorpe Estate?
Great Gonerby?
The sale of Prince William of Gloucester Barracks for new homes.
Also 2 new Outlet Villages, one at Downtown and one off Spittlegate Level on the new King 31 Project. These will attract thousands of visitors. Last year my granddaughter was very very poorly fitting and I waited an hour for an ambulance. She was unconscious on the 40 min drive to Lincoln Hospital at night.
The decision to close and then reduce Grantham A&E is just beyond belief.
