Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a 19-year-old man was assaulted in Grantham on Friday 10th October.
At some time between 7pm to 7.30pm there was a verbal altercation between a group of people that began in the alleyway between Dysart Road and East Avenue. A 19-year-old local man was physically assaulted before police were called and arrived on the scene. The victim was not seriously injured.
A 30-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of common assault in connection with the incident and has since been released on police bail.
Officers investigating the incident are still keen to hear from anyone who may have heard or witnessed the assault or the people involved in it beforehand.
In particular, officers would like to talk to a couple who were going down the alleyway when the incident began, as well as any passers-by or residents in the area of East Avenue or in the surrounding streets.
