A few Grantham boys on their way to a race track in Parma Italy’ Varano’ owned by entreprenouer and father of Ricardo Paletti. Ricardo was killed in Canadian GP in 1982 82 aged 24! We worked there for him! We had other works as well in Northan Italy’ & used to go twice a year! for about 2 months per trip! my last was about 2011! Early Springtime & October time to catch better weather? than here in the UK! Winter in North Italy??? Grim ! All this done with Grantham boys! I dunno who really knew! Me bit Blase about it without being big headed! We did it for years! Twas’ Grantham in the Day Massive things! Barfords, Coles Kontak, Vaccies.

You are right about Grantham having some big names in employment, lets not forget Bmarco as well, all gone now the sites they occupied are either housing or retail or in the case of Coles old site, small units.
Grantham has seen some changes, the high street is ruined and there is talk of a £125 million outlet village down at Gonerby Moor on Downtowns site, that will put a nail in the coffin of the High Street, and test the patience of drivers on the A1.
